I'm overjoyed that Obama's latest ad is attempting to link John McCain to George Bush Jr.  Why?  Because Obama has been using this tactic throughout the whole campaign without success.  These tactics are only winning over hardcore democrats, and are doing nothing to sway on the fence voters and independents.  Intelligent people who make their decisions based on facts and reality clearly see the differences between George W. Bush and John McCain.  Besides the many policy issues they differ on (ANWR, global warming, torture, etc.), there is also the bitter primary campaign they ran against each other in 2000.  Polls have indicated that most people realize this, with the results showing Obama with a very small lead almost the entire time, a lead that McCain has whittled down little by little.  McCain has come back by attacking the substantive concerns that most people have about Obama; mainly his lack of experience, the celebrity (borderline obsessive) treatement he has been getting from the media and his inability to clearly define his stance on many key issues.  This new ad only shows another naive and boneheaded decision that Obama is making: continuing to try and force something to work instead of re-evaluating his tactics and changing to something more effective.  Just one more reason why McCain will make a better president.
